If you’ve ever been to Lochaber for a while, you will know that the rain there is among the wettest rain in the world. After a recent trip to Mullardoch with my son, I have been preoccupied with portraying an incredible silver light, I experienced up there between rain storms. This painting is highly reflective it really responds to the movement of natural light and has an ever changing aspect as changing light plays across it’s surface. This has been very much enhanced by the addition of Silver and Copper leaf, which adds a textural, reflective and abstract element that really makes the darker elements set back and portray a strange and uneasy depth.
This painting is very large and should be hung opposite a window. It’s a bombastic statement piece that has an imposing presence. It should be viewed in person if you are unsure as just walking around it is an experience in reflected light.
Pick up in Glasgow very much preferred, a courier can be arranged at vast expense.
