Last handful left folks, get ’em before the month turns.
Full of my stereotypically stylised shots of Scotland. Mainly the Highlands…
Honestly wasn’t sure if I’d make a calendar this year, but people have talked me into it. I looked through the photos I had taken over the last 18months and I felt it was worth sharing these images and the stories behind them. I’ve had a super busy year with design work, pro photo-shoots and have also become a landscape painter. I haven’t got out as much as I would like but what I’ve realised is that when I do go out, I’m more effective never taking much more than 3 frames. It’s always been more about the experience for me anyway but getting into painting all the landscapes in my mind has definitely refined my compositional chops and bolstered my creative backbone. I have lost my fear of making my images bombastic. Injecting more colour, More contrast a stronger personal depiction of any given place. Art is rarely about realism‽ I am ranting now. Please buy the calendar and tell your auntie Morag about it too. Excellent! Love you Guys.
Months are presented in Gaelic and English and are devoid of any public holidays or religious festivals, so you can please yourself with how you mark the days 😉
I hope my wee stories portray a certain amount of character and truth. I don’t mince my words.
There is exif data from the camera (i.e. settings from the camera) and coloured dots which highlight the tone and composition of the photo.
I sincerely hope it brings you joy throughout the year and inspires you to get out in the landscape.
